Lise speaks about not feeling ready for a transplant.
Transcript
When they told me back in I think it was June or July and they said to me ‘We’re putting you on the list. You’ve deteriorated so much we’re putting you on the list’. And I said ‘no, no I’m not going to. I’m not ready for it.’ And I talked to a couple people who had had their transplants and every single one is like ‘what are you talking about? You know – like there is no ready!’ And there is no, you know? And I said ‘but I’m so scared of the afterwards. I’m so scared of the new medication. I’m so scared of you know the surgery and all this stuff’. And they’re all like ‘it’s not anything what you think it is. It’s not – I mean it’s severe of course. You’re getting your you know, but it’s not – the payout is better. It’s better, the pain is worth the payout’.
